For most people, having a house with a kitchen, bathroom and individual rooms for each person is the norm. But not for me. My family of four – my wife, son and daughter have one room between all of us, and at 85 years of age I find it difficult to get to our room as it is situated somewhere that is hard to reach. Our life is a constant struggle to find enough money to live comfortably.
We have very little money…
I have worked very hard all my life, however, I have never had an opportunity to save up. Now, I am too old to work, and so my family relies on my son Ajaza. He earns 8000 rupees per month as a labour worker in P.I.A however this is only a temporary job, and alone it does not even cover our living costs. Our rent is 6000 rupees per month, and utilities are an extra 3500, so not only are we 1500 short, but that leaves nothing for food or medical treatments. Our daughter Rashida who is 37 years old, stays at home and cares for me and my wife. We are very lucky to have our children, as without them supporting us, it seems very unlikely that my wife and I would still be alive.
My wife and I are not in good health…
Unfortunately, I have cataracts in both my eyes, and I am also hard of hearing. I was also involved in an accident in which my left leg was broken, and cannot be repaired, and this makes it even more difficult for me to get to our room. My wife, who is 72 also has cataracts in both eyes, and due to a condition she is completely deaf. Not only this, but she is also diabetic. We are both in need of money for medical assistance in order to live.
Without Sympathy we would not be alive…
When I gave our details to Sympathy Charity, I was unsure of what would come of it, but I can easily say it was the best thing to ever happen to our family. Sympathy are covering my family for full medical expenses and also give us extra money to cover our rent and buy ourselves enough food to live. Not only this, but the charity take me to the hospital for regular check-ups and to speed up the recovery of my leg. They also invite donors to sponsor me for however much they wish. Sympathy Charity and their donors really do make a huge difference to lives of people like me, and I urge you to donate and sponsor! Please help me and my family, and make sure we can continue to live comfortably. Thank you.
